Still needs a couple tweaks, but here’s a rhythmic visualization I did for my Time, Motion and Communication class set to the instrumentals of The XX.

Baby steps, baby steps.

Finally got the water layer right. It required us to make opacity using an extender base, but it was pretty tricky since we had to carefully adjust the amount of hue. One more layer of white text and I’ll be done!

Spent the earlier part of today silk-screening this poster. We had some problems with the blue layer (the paint ended up being too thick), but hopefully we can get these remedied by tomorrow.

A little nerve-wracking, but I’m learning a lot and hopefully these will turn out well, tiny imperfections and all.

The Niners aren’t going to the Big Game this year, but San Franciscans can still be proud. Frisco one of the most unique cities in the country, and within its limits it contains one of the greatest achievements of the WPA era: The Golden Gate Bridge. This giant of steel is the son of the sweat of a thousand Americans. Americans like James Edmondson, whose biceps were used as measures for the bridge’s trusses (which are .45 Edmonsons wide). And men like Nate Luetkehans, who as child shook the bridge with his tantrums (a documented cause of the ‘89 Loma Prieta earthquake.) So, when you vote on these Golden Gate G’s today, look to these three beasts of the West and stare in awe.
